Good morning everyone and I hope you're having a lovely Easter long weekend. It's Good Friday here, so not much going on with the public holiday. It's been a quiet few weeks as far as creativity goes. A couple of weeks spent on updating the website and Etsy and fixing glitches, trying out new things. The past week being a bit under the weather, I literally feel as if I've come out of a fog today. Anyway, as you can see I've dug out a pair of boots to work on. These are a gently used pair of RM Williams women's leather knee-high boots, of the kind that were a limited run and not made any more. Thanks to my beloved cat Podrick (who's no longer with us), they suffered a few claw marks (while supposedly safe in my cupboard, the little toe-rag:-) so I've finally dug them out to make useable again. I've used my higher powered burner with a branding tip to emboss some hearts across the damaged boot, and have begun sticking rhinestones on across it......this definitely makes these boots useable again, though not for me. They're a size 6.5 (Aussie) and while that's definitely my shoe size, they have a small side opening so need a much slender leg than mine these days;-). So yes, these custom one of a kind RM Williams boots will eventually be up for sale at some point, I daresay. Have a safe and happy Easter everyone, see you on the other side.
